When controls issues rendered a community college’s Central Utility Plant inoperable, the campus needed an emergency temporary chilled water solution to maintain cooling while repairs were completed.
TEM partnered with the mechanical contractor to support a temporary system that would allow the existing plant to be isolated while work to restore the plant took place. New chilled water connection points were installed outside the plant, creating a pathway to feed the campus independently from the CUP.
TEM provided two 500-ton chillers and two 500-ton cooling towers to deliver chilled water through the newly installed connections, helping the campus maintain cooling operations while their Central Utility Plant was brought back online.
To ensure a truly turnkey solution that did not create additional work for the customer, TEM also provided regular water treatment services for the temporary cooling towers throughout the rental period. This service is included with all TEM cooling tower rentals, helping maintain reliable performance and protecting equipment during operation.
